Relatives
Tony Gibson (son) adds:
"I was only six weeks old when Ian was shot down but had the knowledge that he had seen me at my birth which gives me a small amount of comfort. His younger brother was captured at Singapore and after enduring three years as a POW died at Sandakan, so it has been up to me to carry on the family name. I have four children and five grandchildren at this date so the Gibsons march on and I know that Ian would be proud of them. He also has a ninety one year old sister still alive."
