Japanese Army Aircraft Dataplate at Mongolian Military Museum
Osamu Tagaya adds:
"Dataplate manufacturer is Chuo Kogyo K.K. Omori Factory."
Jim Long adds:
"Chuo (Chuuou in computer spelling). It means "center" and may refer to a location in Japan. Or I should say several locations. In my gazette of cities and towns in Japan, there are four places identified by the name "Chuo." One is a suburban town in western Tokyo. It may be where the company got its name. But I suppose that the term might also just mean that the company name was Central Industries, Ltd.
This nameplate is on an engine-driven generator or a regulator used with an engine-driven generator. I've found some similar tags shown in my file of nameplates. Given time I can reproduce nearly all of the characters that can be seen and a few that can't be seen. Data given on the plate include the following items:
Capacity (wattage)
Amperage (current)
Voltage
Revolutions (rpm range)
Model Type
Weight
Manufacture Number
Date of manufacture
Name of manufacturer
The two lines at the top of the plate are mostly unreadable, except for two characters. These top two lines gave the nomenclature of the item and probably had some places for inspection stamps."
