Aircraft History
Built by Consolidated, San Diego, and accepted on October 23 1943. On November 5, 1943 delivered to to Fleet Air Wing 14 (FAW-14) at Naval Air Station San Diego. Flown cross country to NAS Norfolk, Virginia to Headquarters Squadron 5-2 (Hedron). On December 22 1943, Bu 48294 was formally assigned to FAW-15, and flew January 6, 1944, to French Morocco arriving on January 19 and assigned to VPB-92.

Today
Aquired in mid-2003 by Gerald Yagen. Flown to based in Virginia to the Fighter Factory where it is based and flys in airshows during summers.
