Location
Lat 127°54'0" Long 1°12'0" Kaoe Bay Seaplane Base was located in Kaoe Bay bordering Kaoe (Kau) on the northeast coast of Halmahera Island (Pulau Halmahera) in the Molucca Island Group (Molucca Islands). Prewar and during the Pacific War, located in the Netherlands East Indies (NEI). Today located in North Maluku Province (Provinsi Maluku Utara) in Indonesia.
Wartime History
Used by the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as a seaplane base and anchorage.
