    Ternate Airfield (Babullah) North Maluku Province Indonesia
Location
Lat 0° 49' 53N Long 127° 22' 53E  Ternate Airfield is located to the north of Ternate Town (Kota Ternate) on Ternate Island in the Molucca Island Group (Molucca Islands) to the west of Halmahera. Also known as "Ternate Island Drome" or 'Ternate Drome".

Construction
Built by the Japanese as a single runway parallel to the coast.

Wartime History
During the Pacific War, used as a military airfield by the Japanese. During late 1943 until the end of the Pacific War attacked by Allied aircraft.

American missions against Ternate Airfield
October 17, 1943–April 11, 1945

Today
Still in use today, known as Babullah Airport or Sultan Babullah Airport. Airport codes ICAO: WAMT and IATA: TTE. The single runway is oriented 32/14 and is 5,875' x 98' surfaced with asphalt. Classified as a small airport, it is serviced by Garuda Indonesia and Sriwijaya Air.
