Location
Bain-Burdu-Nur Airfield was located near Buyr Nur (Buir Nur, Lake Bor) in Dornod Province in Mongolia. To the east is Khalkhin Gol.

Construction
Built by Soviet Union and Mongolian forces during the early 1930s. Operational by 1939.

History
During the Battle of Khalkhin Gol / Nomonhan Incident May-September 1939. This airfield was the nearest Soviet airfield to the frontlines at the start of the conflict.
