Location Puerto Princesa Seaplane Base is located in Puerto Princesa Bay bordering at Puerto Princesa on Palawan Island in Palawan Province in the Philippines. The seaplane operating area was inside Puerto Princesa Bay. The shore facilities were located on the edge of Puerto Princesa. Inland to the west is Puerto Princesa Airfield. Wartime History Used by the Japanese as a seaplane base and anchorage. Japanese units based at Puerto Princesa Seaplane Base 936 Kokutai (E13A Jake) American missions against Puerto Princesa October 28, 1944–March 1, 1945 On February 28, 1945 a Regimental Combat Team (RCT) from the 41st Division made an amphibious landing at Puerto Princesa and met no opposition on the beach.
