At the lower left the point is Laiana (Ilangana, Olsen's Landing) and at the lower edge is Roviana Lagoon. At the lower right is the wing of the photo plane over New Georgia. At the center upper is large and flat Vonavona Island (Parara) and Mbanga Island (Baanga, Baga). In the far distance at the horizon is the southern tip of Ranongga Island (Ganongga).
