Location Battery Smith is located on Corregidor Island defending Manila Bay and the approach from the South China Sea. Construction Built by the U.S. Army to emplaced a 12" M1895A2 gun on a M1917 barbette carriage with a 26 mile flat trajectory range. This gun could traverse 360 degrees. Possibly, a parapet was not built to allow lower depression of the gun barrel. Named Battery Smith. The other exposed battery was Battery Hearn. Relatives Today Contribute
