Gun History Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) as 37mm Anti-Tank Gun / Type 94 (1936) Rapid Fire Gun manufacture number unknown. This gun had metal wheels. Wartime History During 1944, this gun was aboard a barge that was sunk in Ulingan Harbor. On June 24, 1944 salvaged by HMAS Bundaberg (J231) as a war prize to be donated to the citizen of Bundaberg. Two photographs of the crew cleaned and painting the gun were released to the press and later appeared in newspaper articles. On October 28, 1945 when HMAS Bundaberg (J231) arrived at Bundaberg the gun was donated to the town. Display The gun is displayed outdoors at Lions Memorial Park in Bundaberg West. The gun is mounted to a metal frame secured to the concrete and occasionally repainted.
