Wartime History
On January 14, 1945 the U.S. Army 37th Division Reconassiance Troop finds Camiling undefended. On January 15, 1945 the 2d Bn of 160th Inf takes San Clemente, forcing enemy party back toward Camiling. Meanwhile, elements of 129th Inf and 37th Rcn Tr, 37th Div, intercept the enemy party near Camiling and disperse it.
