Wartime History
During December 1941, occupied by the Japanese Army.
On January 23, 1945 fighter-bombers hit a bridge at Digdig. On March 2, 1945 the US Army 25th Division, 35th Infantry Regiment advance to Digdig and engage in a brief battle. On March 3, 1945 Digdig is liberated and advance towards Puncan. By March 5, 1945 the roadway between San Jose and
Digdig was reopend for traffic.
