Location
Lat 10° 57' 29N Long 123° 7' 23E Manapla is located at an elevation of 26' above sea level in Negros Occidental Province on the northern coast of Negros Island in the Western Visayas (Region VI) in the Visayas (Visayas Islands) in the central Philippines. Also known as Manapala. To the south is Highway 1 and to the southeast is Hacienda Luisita.
Wartime History
During the Japanese occupation of the Philippines, Manapla was occupied until early 1945.
