Location Lat 16° 4' 0N Long 120° 5' 39E Sual (Port Sual) is located on a peninsula an elevation of 157' / 47m in the 1st District (District I) of Pangasinan Province in the Ilocos Region (Region I) of northern Luzon in the Philippines. Borders Lingayen Gulf to the north and Lingayen to the east. Also incorrectly spelled "Saul" [sic]. Wartime History Occupied by the Japanese in late December 1941. During January 1945 Japanese suicide boats were based at Saul. On January 9, 1945 the U.S. Army amphibious landing at Lingayen Gulf, the U.S. Army 40th Division liberated to Saul capturing suicide boats at this location. Contribute
