Location Lat 10° 44' 15N Long 122° 57' 60E Talisay is located at an elevation of 29' / 8m above sea level in Negros Occidental Province on the northwest coast of Negros Island in the Western Visayas (Region VI) in the Visayas (Visayas Islands) in the central Philippines. Today also known as Talisay City. To the north is Silay to the west is Highway No. 1 and to the south is Bacolod. Wartime History Occupied by the Japanese that built Talisay Airfield. Starting in late November 1944 attacked by American aircraft until the end of March 1945. American missions against Talisay November 26, 1944–March 20, 1945 On March 31, 1945 U,S. Army 185th Infantry Regiment patrols toward Talisay.
