Location Lat 3° 14' 30S Long 142° 35' 26E Paup village is located at an elevation of 3' / 1m on the north coast of New Guinea. Also known as Paup Hamlets or Paup Group. To the east is the mouth of the Driniumor River. Today located in the Aitape-Lumi District of West Sepik Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Prewar A coastal trail following the north coast inked Paup westward to Tadji and eastward towards Yakamul. Wartime History Paup was part of the U.S. lines during the Battle of the Driniumor River.
