| Location The Saruwaged Range (Saruwaged Mountains) are located on the Huon Peninsula inland from the north coast of New Guinea. Also spelled Saruwared, Sarawaket, Sarawaget or Sarawagget. To the south is Nadzab and Markham Valley spans the Saidor Gap near Saidor and bordering the Finisterre Range to the northwest. The range is dominated by the Sarawaget Massif which includes Mount Bangeta (Mount Sarawaged), the tallest peak in Morobe Prince. Prewar and during the Pacific War located in the Morobe District of the Territory of New Guinea. Today located in Morobe Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG).
