| Location Bellona Island is a smaller island located in the Coral Sea. To the southwest is Rennell Island and Indispensable Reef. To the north is Guadalcanal Island. To the northeast is San Cristobal (Makira). Previously, Rennell and Bellona were part of Central Province. Since 1993, part of Rennell and Bellona Province in the Solomon Islands.
