    Maramasike Passage Malaita Isand | Malaita Province Solomon Islands
Location
Lat 9° 30′ 23″ S Long 161° 23′ 49″ E  Maramasike Passage seporates Malaita Island to the northwest and Malaita Island to the southeast. Prewar and during the Pacific War part of the British Solomon Islands Protectorate (BSIP). Today part of Malaita Province in the Solomon Islands.

Wartime History
On August 6, 1942 torpedo bombers from USS Saratoga (CV-3) overflew Maramasike Passage and Takataka Bay and found them unoccupied. Without charts, USS Mackinac navigated this passage then entered Takataka Bay.
