Location Lat 10° 24' 39S Long 150° 24' 41E Waga Waga is located at an elevation of 216' / 65m on the southern coast of Milne Bay at the southeast of New Guinea. Borders Discovery Bay to the north and beyond Milne Bay. Prewar and during the Pacific War, located in the Eastern District in the Territory of Papua. Today located in Milne Bay Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Wartime History During 1942, occupied by Australian Army troops. After the Japanese landing at Milne Bay, a barge washed ashore at this location with a cargo of A6M2 Zero drop tanks aboard, and was recovered by Australian forces.
