Badger Aces Wisconsin Fighter 1917-1972 This book includes detailed biographies of Wisconsin born fighter pilots who became aces or near aces during World War I, World War II, Korean War and Vietnam between 1917–1972. The cover artwork is Flying Circus Fighter Sweep at Tadji Drome by Jack Fellows that depicts P-38J "Marge" 42-103993 piloted by Richard I. Bong engaged in aerial combat on March 3, 1944 over Tadji. Chapter 6: World War II USAAF Aces, Pacific Theater begins with Richard I. Bong of Poplar, Wisconsin who became America's highest scoring aces of World War II. Author O'Connor is also the author of Ace of Aces: The Dick Bong Story (1985, reprinted 2019) a detailed biography of the famous ace. Badger Aces is sold by the Richard I.
