Tank History Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) as Ho-Ni Model I self propelled gun armed with a Type 90 (1930) 75mm Field Gun in an enclosed, armored turret. Wartime History Assigned to the 14th Area Army, 2nd Tank Division, 2nd Armored Artillery Regiment, with unit insignia of a white circle in a red circled square. This tank participated in the Japanese defense of Luzon. Fate On April 6, 1945 captured intact by the US Army 37th Infantry Division near Aritao. Afterwards, photographed by U.S. Army Signal Corps near U.S. trucks. Later, transported to the United States for technical evaluation at the Aberdeen Proving Ground.
