Aircraft History Built by Lockheed Aircraft Corporation (LAC) in Burbank. Constructors Number 2110. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as P-38J-10-LO Lightning 42-67599. Disassembled and shipped overseas to the South Pacific (SOPAC) and reassembled. Wartime History Assigned to the 5th Air Force (5th AF), 475th Fighter Group ( 475th FG) "Satan's Angels", 432nd Fighter Squadron (433nd FS) "Clover". Squadron Number unknown in white, three digits in the range of 140–169. No known nickname or nose art. Mission History On July 27, 1944 took off from Mokmer Drome on Biak piloted by unknown on a mission and crash landed 5 miles off Cape Waios. When this aircraft failed to return, listed as Missing In Action (MIA).
