Location
West Field is located near Gurguan Point on the west of Tinian Island. Known by the Japanese as Gurguan Point Airfield. Known to the Americans as West Field. Today located in the Southern Islands Municipality of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) in the United States of America (USA).

Construction
Built by the Japanese with two pararell runways known as Gurguan Point Airfield.

Wartime History
During late July 1944 occupied by the U.S. and the runways were repaired and expanded for use by B-29 Superfortress heavy bombers with three parallel runways oriented roughly east to west. Known to the Americans as "West Field".

This airfield is still in use today, as Tinian's only operational airfield.
