| Location Tacloban Seaplane Base was located on Cataisan Point at Tacloban bordering San Pedro Bay on northern Leyte in the Philippines. Known to the Japanese as "Tacroban". Wartime History Tacloban had a small wharf that was used as seaplane base at Tacloban Airfield. During the Japanese occupation of the Philippines, used to a limited capacity by floatplanes.
