Location
Tacloban Seaplane Base was located at Tacloban on Cataisan Point along San Pedro Bay on northern Leyte. Known to the Japanese as "Tacroban".

Construction
Tacloban has a small wharf that aslo doubled as a seaplane base near Tacloban Airfield.

Japanese Units Based at Tacloban
634 Kokutai (E16 Paul detachment) although they were mainly based at Canacao
954 Kokutai (F1M Pete) from Cebu to Caldera (Recodo)
