Location
The Intramuros District is in the 5th District of southern Manila in the in the National Capital Region (NCR) on Luzon in the Philippines. To the north is the Pasig River. Borders Ermita District to the east and Port Area District to the west.
Intramuros (The Walled City)
Built by the Spanish as a stone wall fortress during February 1945 during the Battle of Manila defended by the Japanese and liberated by the U.S. Army.
