| Location Tawi Tawi Island is located in Tawi-Tawi Province in the southwest of the Sulu Archipelago (Sulu Islands) in the Autonomous Region In Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) of the Philippines. Also spelled "Tawi Tawi" or "Tawitawi". Borders the Sulu Sea to the north and west, and Celebes Sea to the east and south. To the west is is Sanga-Sanga Island and to the southwest is Bongao Island.
