Location
Yerba Buena Island is located inside San Francisco Bay in San Francisco County in California in the United States. To the north is Treasure Island. To the southwest is San Francisco. Connected by a 900' causeway to Treasure Island which in turn has on- and off-ramps onto Interstate 80 (I-80) between San Francisco and Oakland.
Quarters One (Nimitz House)
Nimitz House, 1 Whiting Way, San Francisco, CA 94130 Home known as Quarters One on Yerba Buena Island to the south of Treasure Island. Retired Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz lived at this residence 1964 until his death on February 20, 1966.
