Location
Lat 14° 35' 0" N Long 121° 2' 0" E  Mandaluyong East Airfield was located at Mandaluyong in Manila, east of Highway 54 and west of the Mandaluyong River at 60' elevation. To the southwest is Mandaluyong Airfield. Rosario road is located to the east. Also known as "Mandaluyong Airfield".

Construction
Built by the Japanese during their occupation.

Wartime History
Used by the Japanese. During the bombing of Manila, aircraft were dispersed in the area, including using the fairway at Wack Wack Golf Club. Liberated by the US Army during February 9-10, 1945.

Today
Disused since the war, the former airfield area is the Shangri-La Mall and SM Mega Mall. The Wack Wack Golf Club remains in use.

"Operational. Newly constructed Japanese field on Pasig Boulevard near Mandaluyong barrio 5 miles E of Manila; 2 miles NE of Nielson Field. One runway, hard surface, NW/SE approx 3400ft x 130ft running lengthwise astride boulevard. Extensions are possible to both ends and strip could be widened considerably. There is a dispersal area N served by a taxi-loop which connects both ends of strip. Ground from N bank of Pasig R rises steadily to form an approx rectangular plateau oriented NW/SW. At SE end of plateau the ground falls away abruptly to a 1/4 wide river flat near Pasig. Field is on the plateau. Field area contains numerous installations. Barracks and workshop line the taxi-loop N of field. Additional barracks are immediately S of W end of strip. Stores area lies SW of W end of runway."
