| Location Gulf Province (GP) is located southern coast of New Guinea bordering the Gulf of Papua. Prewar and during the Pacific War comprised of Delta District and Gulf District in the Territory of Papua. Today Gulf Province is part of Papua New Guinea (PNG). Borders the Gulf of Papua to the south, Central Province to the east, Morobe Province to the northeast, Eastern Highlands Province and Chimbu Province to the to the north, Southern Highlands Province to the northwest and Western Province (Fly) to the west. Kerema District Includes: Central Kerema Rural, East Kerema Rural, Kaintiba Rural, Kerema Urban, Kotidanga Rural and Lakekamu-Tauri Rural. Gulf of Papua borders the southern coast of New Guinea. Kerema located along the coast of the Gulf of Papua. Aivau (Huiva, Hui) located on the southern coast of New Guinea borders the Gulf of Papua. Vailala located at the mouth of the Vailala River on the southern coast of New Guinea bordering Gulf of Papua. Ihu located on the west side of the Vailala River. Iokea (Port Chalmers, Jokea, Lokea) coastal village near the provincal border with Central Province. Sarota coastal village near the provincal border with Central Province. Kukipi located near the southern coast of New Guinea. Okavai (Otamai, Okavail) located inland from the southern coast of New Guinea. Terapo inland village between the Lakekamu River includes Terapo Airfield. Kunimaipa (Grim Point) located on the Lakekamu River. Kaintiba located in the interior includes postwar Kaintiba Airport. Bulldog (Bulldog Base, Bulldog Camp) located at the northern end of Lakekamu River includes Bulldog Airfield. Bulldog Track (Bulldog Road, Bulldog-Wau Road, Reinhold Highway) spans from Bulldog to the northeast to Wau. Kikori District Includes: Baimuru Rural, East Kikori Rural, Ihu Rural and West Kikori Rural. Kikori located inland from the Gulf of Papua, along the Kikori River includes Bulldog Airfield. Port Romilly (Romilly, Ara'ava, Romilly Sawmill) located on the south coast of New Guinea borders Deception Bay.
