On March 10, 1942 moves to Charters Towers Airfield.

PARTIAL HISTORY

On January 28, 1943 moves to 3 Mile Drome (Kila) near Port Moresby in New Guinea.

On May 20, 1943 moves to Dobodura in New Guinea.

On May 25, 1943 redesignated 3rd Bombardment Group (3rd BG).

On December 30, 1944 moves to San Jose Airfield on Mindoro in the Philippines.

PARTIAL HISTORY

On February 3, 1944 moves to Nadazab Airfield.
