| Location San Juanico Strait is a narrow strait that seporates Samar to the east and Leyte to the west. To the north connects to Carigara Bay and beyond the Samar Sea. To the south connects to San Pedro Bay and beyond Leyte Gulf. The southern entrance is on Cancabato Bay to the north of Tacloban.
