Location
Hill 78 is near the north coast of Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands. This feature was designated "Hill 78" by the Americans during the Guadalcanal campaign. To the north is Point Cruz. Today, Hill 78 is part of Honiara.

Today
Since independence in 1978, the Solomon Islands National Parliament was constructed atop this hill accessible via Upper Vavaya Ridge Road.
