Location
Halavo Bay (Balava) borders Halavo (Balava) on the southern coast of Florida Island (Nggela Sule, Big Gela). Connects to Gavutu Harbor to the west. Prewar and during the Pacific War part of the British Solomon Islands Protectorate (BSIP). Today located in Central Province in the Solomon Islands.

seaplane base, on shore were many large fuel tanks and
of shore moorings for PBYs and other seaplanes.
