Background
On January 28, 1944 arrived at Cape Sudest on the north coast of New Guinea. On February 4, 1944 moved from Cape Sudest to Dobodura.

On April 10, 1944 lost was A-20G 43-9410 pilot 2nd Lt. James W. Wisdom on a practice bombing mission against the Ayatosan Maru  (The Gona Wreck) and crashed into the shipwreck with all four aboard missing.

On April 17, 1944 moves to Saidor Airfield.

On June 10, 1944 lost was A-20G 42-86621 pilot Lt. Richard V. McGaughey on a mission against Wewak. Over the target, hit by anti-aircraft fire and ditched near Muschu Island, pilot rescued gunner SSgt Oscar B. Macias MIA.

On September 8, 1944 the 674th BS moves from Saidor Airfield to Kornasoren Airfield on Noemfoor Island.

On September 11, 1944 the 674th BS conducted a combat mission against Kaoe Airfield on Halmahera Island. Lost is lost is A-20G 43-9416 (MIA).

On October 1, 1944 lost is A-20G pilot 1st Lt. Norman J. Summers on a mission against Langgoer Airfield in the Kai Islands and ditched between Adi Island and the mainland of western New Guinea and the crew were rescued by OA-10 Catalina.

On December 6, 1944 the 674rd BS move to Tacloban Airfield on Leyte. On December 22, 1944 moves to San Jose Airfield on Mindoro.

On August 15, 1945 moves to Okinawa.
