| Location The Pomio District is part of East New Britain Province in in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and is divided into four Local Level Goverment (LLG) areas: East Pomio Rural LLG, Melkoi Rural LLG, Sinivit Rural LLG, West Pomio-Mamusi Rural LLG. The district capital is Pomio. Borders Gazelle District to the north and Kokopo District to the northeast. Sinivit Rural LLG Tol (Zungen Point) borders Henry Reid Harbor and Wide Bay, site of 1942 Tol Massacre. East Pomio Rural LLG Wide Bay located on the southern coast of East New Britain includes Henry Reid Harbor. Henry Reid Harbor (Homhovulu) located at the eastern end of Wide Bay bordering Waitavalo and Tol. Waitavalo borders Henry Reid Harbor and Wide Bay. Lamerien (Lamerien) located on the western edge of Wide Bay. Brown Island located at the western side of Henry Reid Harbor and Wide Bay. Kalai borders Wide Bay. Cape Turner borders the wesern edge of Wide Bay and Kalai Plantation. Long located on the western edge of Wide Bay to the north is Cape Turner. Kalip located at the mouth of the Ip River on western edge of Wide Bay. Hoiya located on on western edge of Wide Bay. Kaulum located on on western edge of Wide Bay. Milim borders the southern side of Wide Bay. Kiep located on the southern side of Wide Bay to the west is Milim. Sampum located on the southern end of Wide Bay. Cape Orford located between Wide Bay and Jacquinot Bay. Baien ((Bain) located to the northeast of Cape Orford. Central-Inalnd Pomio LLG Jacquinot Bay located on the southern coast of East New Britain. Pomio (Bomeo) located on the southern coast of East New Britain bordering Jacquinot Bay. Waterfall Bay located on the southern coast of New Britain, to the west is Jacquinot Bay. West Pomio-Mamusi Rural LLG Malmal (Mal Mal, Palmalmal) borders Jacquinot Bay.
