Background
On January 28, 1944 arrived at Cape Sudest on the north coast of New Guinea. On February 4, 1944 moved from Cape Sudest to Dobodura. On April 9, 1944 moves to Saidor Airfield.

Click For EnlargementOn April 16, 1944 "Black Sunday" nine A-20s from the 675th BS flew a low level strike against Hollandia. Returning, the formation encountered a severe weather front returning to Saidor Airfield. Seeing chaos on the from to other aircraft that force landed, the squadron diverted to Finschafen Airfield. Three A-20s were lost. A-20G 43-9488 pilot 2nd Lt. Michael Jovanovich out of fuel ditched northwest of Finschafen, pilot rescued two missing. A-20G 43-9629 pilot 2nd Lt. Edward Davidson when the left main gear collapsed landed at Yamai Airfield (Saidor No. 2). Afterwards, this mission was dubbed "Black Sunday" due to the number of aircraft lost due to bad weather.

On July 23, 1944 lost was A-20G 42-54089 pilot Captain Kramer Thomas, Jr. (MIA) on a flight from Nadzab Airfield bound for Saidor Airfield and went missing.

Click For EnlargmentOn September 10, 1044 lost is A-20G 43-9180 pilot 1st Lt. Thomas R. Grimes (MIA) when it experienced engine problems and aborted a mission against Amahai Airfield and force landed near Otawir Airfield pilot killed and gunner SSgt Frank J. Kramerich remains listed as Missing In Action (MIA).

On September 15, 1944 the 675th BS moves from Saidor Airfield to Kornasoren Airfield on Noemfoor Island.

On December 6, 1944 the 675rd BS move to Tacloban Airfield on Leyte. On December 22, 1944 moves to San Jose Airfield on Mindoro.

On January 9, 1945 lost was A-20G 43-22160 pilot 2nd Lt. Bertrand E Major (MIA) on a strike mission against central Luzon and was last seen roughly four miles north of Bolongapo at Subic Bay. Pilot missing, gunner killed.

On August 17, 1945 moves to Okinawa.
